Release 10.1A: OpenEdge Getting Started:
New and Revised Features

OpenEdge online help systems

The OpenEdge online help systems contain a new Ask Me tab that allows you to pose a question to the help system in everyday language. For example, you can ask a question such as, “How do I compile a procedure?” and the help system will list the topics found.

Unlike a full text search query, the natural language query interface provided by the Ask Me tab does not need to contain the exact form of a word. For example, if the help system contains the word “compiling” but not “compile,” the Ask Me tab will still return the appropriate topics based on the root form of the word. Results are ranked to indicate the closest match. Topics that best match the answer to your question are listed first.

The Ask Me tab also remembers questions that you have previously asked. Click the History link on the Ask Me tab to recall previous queries.
